FREQUENT QUESTIONS ABOUT TICKETING
Which ticket / pass should I choose?
All Exhibitions Pass and September All Exhibitions Pass
In July and August, for a stay of several days in Arles, we recommend that you choose an All Exhibitions Pass.
In September, for a stay of several days in Arles, we recommend that you choose a September All Exhibitions Pass.
The All Exhibitions Passes are valid for the duration of the festival (from Monday July 1 to Sunday September 29 2024).
Due to the anticipated closures of certain exhibitions, the Rencontres d’Arles proposes specific ticketing options starting from Monday, August 26th 2024.
September All Exhibitions Passes are available for purchase starting Thursday August 22 2024. They are valid from Monday August 26 to Sunday September 29.
The All Exhibitions Passes and the September All Exhibitions Passes allow for one entry per exhibition site.
To take advantage of all the exhibitions in the programming, the Rencontres d’Arles recommends a three-day stay.
Day pass and September Day Pass
In July and August, for a one-day visit of the Rencontres d’Arles, we recommend that you choose the Day Pass.
In September, for a one-day visit of the Rencontres d’Arles, we recommend that you choose the September Day Pass.
Day Passes and the September Day Passes are not dated at the moment of purchase. They are activated the moment of the first entry to an exhibition.
Day passes are valid for any one day, from 10:00am to 7:30pm for the duration of the festival, from Monday July 1 to Sunday September 29 2024.
September Day Passes are available for sale starting Thursday, August 22 2024. They are valid any one day, from 10:00am to 7:30pm from Monday August 26 to Sunday September 29.
Both of these passes allow for one entry per exhibition.
If you decide to stay a few more days in Arles, your Day Pass can be exchanged for an All Exhibitions Pass at one of our on-site ticketing offices (payment of the difference in rates at the moment of the exchange). However, the exhibitions already visited with the Day Pass cannot be visited again with the exchanged All Exhibitions Pass.
In this same way, a September Day Pass can be exchanged for a September All Exhibitions Pass.
Single Venue Ticket
If you only have a limited amount of time to visit the Rencontres d’Arles, we recommend that you select one or two exhibition sites and opt for one or two Single Venue Entry tickets.
The pricing for the Single Venue Tickets varies between €4.50 and €15. Each Single Venue Ticket is valid for a single entry at a single exhibition site.
Single Venue Tickets are available for purchase online and at our on-site ticketing offices. Please note: preferential online ticketing rates do not apply to Single Venue Tickets (unlike for other festival passes).
If you would like to continue your visit after this brief taste of the festival, a Single Venue Ticket can be exchanged for a festival pass at one of our on-site ticketing offices (payment of the difference in rates at the moment of the exchange). Please note that the exhibitions already visited with a Single Venue Ticket cannot be visited again with the exchanged pass.
Exchange of a Single Venue Ticket for a Day Pass must be made on the day of the Single Venue Ticket use. Exchange of a Single Venue Ticket for an All Exhibitions Pass can be made any time.
Night-time events
During the opening week, the Rencontres d’Arles organizes different types of night-time events with projections, concerts, and performances.

Press Accreditation
Press accreditations are reserved for journalists coming to produce a report on the order of their editor-in-chief.
It is issued only upon presentation of a letter from the editorial staff justifying an editorial project on the 2024 edition. The accreditation is nominative and only gives access to the exhibitions.
It is requited to make your request online from our website: rencontres-arles.com and at least 48 hours in advance (business days). No accreditation will be issued on site without your prior request.
If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from the press office of the Rencontres d’Arles, with your press accreditation attached. It must be presented at the entrance to each exhibition site, either on a smartphone or printed on paper.
The Rencontres d’Arles proposes two different formats for press accreditations:
- the Press E-Badge which is nominative and allows three entrances per exhibition site during the opening week (July 1 to 7). Please note that it does not include access to the Théâtre antique nights.
- the Press E-Invitation which is nominative and allows one entrance per exhibition site from July 8 to September 29

These preferential rates are intended for all types of groups (associations, works councils, organizers, individuals, etc.) who wish to discover Arles and the festival.
Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance (business days).

Purchasing a festival ticket / pass as a gift
The festival offers a gift option on the online ticketing system to generate a ticket for the person of your choice.
With a full price ticket, you can personalize the ticket with the name of the person at the validation stage of your basket. You receive your personal e-ticket by e-mail at the end of your purchase.
The price of the ticket has to show up on the ticket, it is impossible for us to cover this legal information.
If the beneficiary is likely to be able to benefit from a free or reduced rate, they have to go to the ticket office with their credentials. You do not receive the e-ticket in the confirmation e-mail.
If you wish to offer a ticket as a gift but you have not used the gift option, you should know that even if the order is in your name, you can still offer your ticket as a gift. This is because full-price tickets are by default in the name of the person who made the reservation. We do not have the ability to change the names on the tickets after the fact, but this is not a problem because we do not perform any ID checks at the entrances to the exhibitions.
Tickets and passes / one entry per exhibition site
With your ticket or pass, you can only enter one single time into an exhibition site.
A ticket does not permit multiple visits to a same exhibition site. There is no unlimited access.
Ticket / pass not received
If you haven’t received your ticket bought online after your purchase, there are several possibilities:
- If you have chosen a reduced or free ticket, it is normal that you have not received it. In fact, you have to pick up your ticket at one of our on-site ticketing offices with an ID and a supporting document less than three months old.
- If you have chosen a full-price ticket and you haven’t received it, check your spam folder. If after doing so you still cannot find your ticket, you can find your ticket in your personal account that you created when you purchased the ticket. You also have the option to pick it up on-site at one of our ticketing offices upon presentation of the corresponding invoice.
Ticket / pass lost or stolen
In the case of a lost or stolen ticket (purchased online or at one of our on-site ticketing offices), a ticketing agent can create a duplicate ticket upon proof of purchase.
With each ticket purchase, you are given either a receipt (for on-site purchases) or an invoice sent to you via e-mail (for online orders). It is exclusively with one of these documents that we are able to create a duplicate ticket to replace a lost or stolen ticket.
The duplicate ticket invalidates the original ticket, making all fraudulent use impossible. All exhibition sites already visited with the original ticket are not accessible with the duplicate ticket.
Please note that we cannot provide a duplicate or an invoice for tickets purchased at the Tourist Office.
Invoice
Every online ticket sale generates and sends an invoice to the e-mail address used to create your account. If, however, you did not receive your invoice, please e-mail:
If you purchase your ticket or pass on-site at our on-site ticketing offices, you can ask a ticketing agent for your invoice.
