Portrait : moment and intimacy

Portrait photography is a vast area encompassing many practices, but it always aims to capture a person’s features by taking account of his or her environment, emotions and status. This three-day course will take various approaches to help participants steer their work towards what matches their desires and personalities. It will explore distance, lighting and time management.
The goal will be to control the time spent with the person photographed by having anticipated certain constraints and thought about the desired image beforehand.
The question of intimacy will be the running thread: how it is approached will determine many choices in the form that the shooting session will take as well as the participant’s ability to interact with others.
