This precious course invites us to rethink our perception of everyday life through the image. The approach is open to meaning and the sensitive observation of what surrounds us, especially non-events, details and the little nothings that make, wrap and calm our days most often. The challenge will be for the participants, through their sensations, their eyes and their curiosity, to find the unexpected and the exceptional in what is most commonplace. The challenge will then be to find a personal way to share their observations through photography.
Marguerite Bornhauser will meticulously accompany the participants on this quest in defining a unique style. Observing, identifying and capturing will be the first steps in a process that will become more precise and structured in order to turn a succession of images into a personal photographic language. Colors, forms, gestures, lights, a face, an atmosphere, a gaze, objects, a thread, shadows, a perspective, a texture, skin are elements that, articulated, rhythmic, put into relationships with each other, will serve as words to compose a poetry of everyday life, a sublimated daily life. The exchange of points of view, ideas and experiments, trust and selection sessions will punctuate the process.
On the last day, this exciting journey will culminate in an exhibition of a personal and sensitive series.
The Workshop is held in french (with English translation if necessary).
