Based on small experiments and the completion of a personal project, participants will explore what characterizes their own photography. After identifying certain skills and goals, they will make full use of them to develop a gaze.

During the weekend, discussions and sharing points of view on the photographs made will support the participants every step of the way. They will start shooting with first intentions, set a personal distance and make aesthetic choices giving both the form and substance coherence.

The goal will be for them to remain focused, know where they’re going and deepen their practice. Some participants may rely solely on photographs made before the course to concentrate only on editing.

Selecting photographs will play a key role in weaving together the threads of a story and creating relationships between the photographs.

This exciting approach may help participants break out of certain well-worn patterns. It could sometimes be enhanced by the presentation of famous photographers in order to spur their creativity.

The workshop is held in French
