Finding Inspiration
Vee Speers offers a day and a half of immersion in the world of portraiture, helping you discover and assert your personal style. She will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and explore your own story or ideas for inspiration. You will work on lighting, composition, and model direction, while seeking to capture the emotion that makes each portrait so powerful and unique.
Vee will share her experience through a portfolio review, discussing each individual's practices and sharing her own journey with you.
Your images will then be retouched with Vee's guidance, and she will suggest new avenues to develop your current or future projects.

VEE SPEERS
Vee Speers is an internationally recognised photographic artist who has established herself in the art world with her timeless portraits. Speers’s carefully choreographed work is painterly and ethereal, with a visual and metaphorical ambiguity which challenges established narratives.
Renowned for series such as ‘The Birthday Party’, ‘Bulletproof’ and ‘Dystopia’, she invites viewers to navigate the tension between life, performance and a need to escape from reality. Speers’ meticulous use of colour, composition, and symbolism creates a haunting yet intimate atmosphere, compelling audiences to reflect on universal rites of passage and the emotional landscapes they evoke.
Vee Speers’s work has been exhibited in galleries, art fairs and festivals as well as prominent institutions such as Princeton Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Norton Museum of Art , Victoria + Albert Museum, London. Her work has been published in features and on covers of more than 60 international magazines, with 3 sold-out monographs of her work.
